
Tottenham man charged driving wrong way on Highway 400

OPP have charged an impaired driver who had been travelling in the wrong direction on Highway 400, on Friday, August 14 shortly before 3:30 am.
"Nottawasaga OPP officers responded to many reports of a vehicle travelling northbound in the southbound lanes on Highway 400 where other drivers had to take evasive action to avoid a head on collision. The vehicle proceeded to exit the highway at a service station in Innisfil," according to police. "The vehicle was located by police, and the driver was placed under arrest."
A 41-year-old male from Tottenham has been charged with:
• Operation while impaired - alcohol
• Failure or refusal to comply with demand
• Dangerous operation
The accused was released with a future court date at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bradford to answer to the charges, had their vehicle impounded for seven days and drivers licence suspended for 90 days.
