Acclamations, open wards in play as less than two weeks to deadline looms

Nine business days, including today, until nominations for October 26 municipal and school board elections close.

​

If the elections were held today, there would be two wins by acclamation in New Tecumseth's Ward 1 and Ward 4;

 

There would only be a race for Mayor in Essa Township, with the Deputy Mayor, and its three Wards won by acclamation; and in Adjala-Tosorontio, Ward 3 and Ward 5, have no candidates registered.

On the school board side, there is no candidate registered for New Tecumseth public school board trustee; and acclamation wins for New Tecumseth area Separate school trustee; and Essa area public school trustee.

​

Nominations close August 21, @ 2 pm.
