100 charges, 15 stolen vehicles with a value of approximately $1.4 million recovered

Posted October 19, 2026

Investigators with the Peel Police Central Robbery Bureau have arrested 10 individuals following an extensive investigation into a series of violent carjackings and high-end vehicle thefts across the Greater Toronto Area.

Between June 2025 and April 2026, Project High Guard focused on 21 incidents of vehicle thefts, in which, in some cases, knives and firearms were brandished and victims were physically assaulted. In some cases, victims suffered severe injuries.

The investigation led officers beyond the individuals carrying out the robberies and uncovered a coordinated criminal network allegedly responsible for planning, directing, and profiting from the crimes. Investigators identified members responsible for targeting vehicles, organizing robberies and recruiting younger offenders.

Following a series of coordinated search warrants on Sept. 3, Peel Regional Police arrested and charged the following men in connection with the investigation:

Investigators laid more than 100 charges, recovered 15 stolen vehicles with a value of approximately $1.4 million, and seized four illegal firearms, along with ammunition and magazines.
